What are the Rules for the Twisted 4v4 Soccer Shootout?
For the official rules, click here. Please make sure that all players and coaches read and understand the rules for the "Twisted 4v4 Soccer Shootout" before the tournament begins.
How are the divisions broken up?
Teams will be placed into divisions based upon age, gender and playing experience. Any team or player determined by the Tournament Director to have falsified age or skill level will be dismissed from the tournament and banned from play in any future Pinnacle Sports Tournaments, Inc. event. Teams that span more than one age group will be placed into the division of the oldest, most experienced player on the team. The tournament administration will make every effort to place teams into divisions with similar players.
What is the difference between recreational and competitive?
Teams are placed in divisions based on their players' competitive playing experience. Teams that have one or more players with any competitive experience will be bracketed in the competitive division. A team that qualifies as a recreational team at the Local and Regional event will be considered a recreational team at the National Championships. In effect, if a team qualifies before they play competitive soccer then they will play in the division for which they have qualified. A "recreational" team may opt to play in the competitive division.
How many players can I have on the roster?
You may carry a maximum of 6 players. A minimum of 4 players is required to participate in this event. The team entry fee is the same, regardless of number of players on team.
Do I have to have 6 players?
No, you may have between 4-6 players. The one or two additional players are substitutes.
Does each player need a player card?
Players do not need a player card to participate in the "Twisted 4v4 Soccer Shootout." However, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CARRY PROOF OF AGE AT ALL TIMES.
Are numbers on jerseys required?
No, all players must wear similar team shirts (same color) during play and each team must bring both a light and dark colored shirt. If both teams are wearing the same color, a coin flip in pool play will determine which team must change.
Do we have to have a coach?
No coach is required if at least one player from the team is 18 years of age or older and accepts responsibility for potential player medical treatment issues. If no player from the team is 18 years or older, then an adult coach will be required.
How do I Register?
